Mechanism of Handling Exported Goods (Secang Wood) at PT Semesta Alam Petro Banyumanik Semarang
An important activity of export practice is the processing of the export consignment through all its numerous procedures. Mechanism of export has procedures that should be understood by the exporters. PT. Semesta Alam Petro or PT. Sapetro is an agribusiness company, it exports raw material such us ginger, secang wood and etc. As it is the first time for PT. Sapetro to export secang wood, the company does not quite understand about the procedures of wood export. PT. Sapetro export secang wood througout another exporter, the company could not do secang wood export directly. Therefore I am motivated to write a final project report entitled “MECHANISM OF HANDLING EXPORTED GOODS (SECANG WOOD) AT PT. SEMESTA ALAM PETRO BANYUMANIK SEMARANG THROUGH PT ARYA GLOBAL PERKASARAYA LAMPUNG”.
The aims of the final project is to find out the mechanism of handling exported goods,negotiation process of documents required by PT. Semesta Alam Petro and to find out the causes of the company could not do secang wood export directly.
PT. Semesta Alam Petro exports secang wood throughout another company. The company uses indirect selling for the export activity. The company assembles Secang Wood from suppliers of three areas, that each Pati, Pedurungan and Blora in the form of pieces according to ordersheet. Documents of ordering the goods are sent by electronic mail such as offersheet, ordersheet, and sales contract. PT. Semesta Alam Petro could not do export secang wood because the company does not have one of those licenses to do an export and the company has the opinion that secang wood is prohibited for export.
PT. Semesta Alam Petro is likely to learn more about procedure of export, so the company can export the goods directly and gain more profit. The company should pay attention to the regulation of exported goods, so the company knows in what classification the goods are and the document can be managed by PT. Semesta Alam Petro correctly.
