Pengendalian kualitas bahan baku produk ekspor wooden furniture pada CV Wahyu Jati Indomebel
The quality control of raw material is an effort of the company to produce high quality of product, to save production cost and increase customers satisfaction. CV Wahyu Jati Indomebel Jepara is a company which produces indoor wooden furniture, uses teak wood as the raw material. The company pays attentions to raw material quality because indoor wooden furniture products should satisfy customers.
The objective of the final report is to find out, firstly the material quality standard in CV Wahyu Jati Indomebel Jepara, secondly the ways of raw material quality control, finally obstacles in the quality control of raw material activity. Data were collected by observation, interviews and literature studies. Descriptive method was used to write this report.
In the implementation of raw material quality control, the company carried out some activities consisting of some stages are selecting material source, raw material drying-up, saving raw material in warehouse In the raw material quality control activity, the company find some problems, such as the employers only have a little knowledge about the standard of the raw material and the company didn’t have lignometer machine to check the water contain in teak wood.
It is suggested that the company should give a training to enrich the employer knowledge about the standard of raw material and buying lignometer machine.
