Every company, whether it is big, intermediate or small, has to pay attention to the quality of product. The quality plays very important role in determining whether the development of the company rapid or not. The quality control about product it is an effort to lessen defect product that will be marketed. CV Mukti Manunggal Semarang is one of the printing company. The products are varried such as magazine, bank form, invitation card, blanko, envelope, folio and many others. One of the product that is to be researched is magazine “Bhakti Praja”. The implementation of quality control of magazine product it can be made with the control of basic material, production process, and control over finished product.
The purpose of this final project are to know the standard quality product, the controlling quality of the product, the factors that causes defect product and the preventive action, and to analysis defect product from the year of 2007 to 2008.
The methods of collecting data are observation, interview, and literature studies. Control chart is used in analyzing the attributes, the central line in the control chart represents the control limit of the defect product, the upper limit are always used as standard limit of the defect product.
Based on the data from the year of 2007 to 2008, it showed that the decrease grade of the defect product. The highest grade of the defect product in 2007 reached 6.7% in May. In 2008 the highest grade of the defect product was in November, 4.8%. The maximum limit of the defect standard of the company is 4%. Based on the data from 2007 to 2008 it was shown that quality control has been implemented
well.
