Pengendalian kualitas produk wooden furniture pada PT Tri Cahya Purnama Semarang
International Trade. PT Tri Cahya Purnama Semarang is one of exporting companies producing indoor wooden furniture. The company always improves the quality of product One of the efforts to maintain product quality is by doing quality control activities. The finished products should fulfill the company quality standard and buyers demand before they are exported.
The objective of this final report is to identify the aim of the quality control activities, wooden furniture quality standard quality control activities, the obstacle and overcome of quality control activities and to analyse the defective products in 2008 at PT Tri Cahya Purnama Semarang.
The writing method of this final report is descriptive analysis. The method of data collection were interviews, observations, and literature studies.
It is concluded that the quality control which is done by PT Tri Cahya Purnama Semarang is devided into quality control of sample product and quality control of mass production. The result of the defected product data analysis in 2008 shows that the number of defected products that were products decreased. It is shown by value average of defected product in January to May, i.e 0.49%. It increased by 0.59% in June although it was still under Control Limit (CL). The highest percentage defected product in August was 0.99% and it decreased by 0.69% during September to December.
Finally, it is recommended that the company should increase their quality control activities because there was inclinable gradual rise from month to month. Besidest, the company should ask the product detail from buyer in order to satisfy them.
