Pengawasan kualitas produk jadi wooden furniture pada CV Golden Teak Garden Semarang
In globalization era, many companies produce high quality products with competitive price because quality is one of the main factors which are considered by buy the products. The company maintain the quality of product by doing the quality control therefore I was motivated to compose the final report entitled: “The Quality Control of Wooden Furniture Finished Product at CV GOLDEN TEAK GARDEN Semarang.”
The purpose of this project report are to know the product of wooden furniture finished products and product defects at CV GOLDEN TEAK GARDEN years during the period 2006-2008, to know process of implementation of the quality control of wooden furniture finished product at CV GOLDEN TEAK GARDEN, to know the characteristics of dimensional quality of the finished product, to know the quality standard of finished product, and to know the factors that cause product defects and how to overcome.
The method of data collection are observation, interview, and library study. The final report is written descriptively.
It is concluded that process of implementation of the quality control of wooden furniture finished product at CV GOLDEN TEAK GARDEN include dimension, moisture content, marking, brass checking, sanding, wood quality, construction, cleaning, glue, and accessory. And then the factors that cause product defects of wooden furniture are bad raw materials, production errors, and damage to machinery and equipment, the company product must done strict control to overcome the problem.
Finally, it is recommended CV GOLDEN TEAK GARDEN needs to develop and provide training and skills to the employee of production department to avoid errors that are not expected. They also evaluate the production activities at the end of the year to improve constraints or obstacles encountered during the production run for a year.
