Aktivitas bidang kesekretariatan pada Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang
In this era of globalization, the existence of the secretarial section is necessary to support the good management of any institution. The same thing also applies to Polytechnic of Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnic. Being an employee in a secretarial section, someone needs to be accurate, effective and efficient, while working in accordance with the objectives of the institution that have been stated. Secretarial section helps the head of the institution complete all the administration work.
The aim of this project was to know the activities of the secretarial section in the scope of receiving guests, handling incoming and out going calls, handling incoming and out going letters and doing the filling in helping the office administration and personnel officer of Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnic.
The data were collected by observation, interviews, and literature studies, while the method of writing was descriptive. The writer found that the secretarial section did the work of office administration to support the accomplishment of the institution’s aims work well. It included receiving guests, handling incoming and out going calls, handling incoming and out going letters and filling. There were some weaknesses in carrying the task, so the writer suggested the secretarial section improve their administration work to get things done in a better condition.
