Pengendalian kualitas produk ekspor lantai kayu pada PT Kurnia Jati Utama Indonesia
In this globalization era, there are a lot of competitors in the trade world especially export sector. Export company must able to compete with the other company in the world, because only company that a capable to produce goods with good quality that can compete in global market, the result that company can make the consumer satisfied. PT Kurnia Jati Utama Indonesia Semarang is one of exported company and located in Jalan Simongan 100A Semarang.
The purpose of the final report are to analyze the process of quality control of the exported wooden floor product in the period of 2006-2008, to know the total of product defected.
This final report is written by using descriptive analyze method. Control Chart was used to analyze the data. The data were collected by observation at PT Kurnia Jati Utama Indonesia, interviews with staff involved in the quality control process, and also literature studies.
The result of the technical analysis for three years (2006-200) show that production process of wooden floor was higher than standard of quality control. Even in 2006-2008 were higher than standard of quality control, it could be interpreted that the level of the defected product have exceeded the control limit.
In this final project it was recommended to quality control of export product should used a production control activity scheme. Because, with that scheme we can know the total of damaged product in a year and the comparison with the standard of the company also the average calculating in that year. More over, we can know increasing or decreasing quality product in that company
