Pengawasan kualitas produk ekspor furniture pada CV Kalika Semarang
Globalization era and global crisiss, result in a company producing good quality product, because quality product is one of determinansts for a company in winning a competition. CV Kalika Semarang is one company producing furniture. In the activity, CV Kalika Semarang conducted product quality control activities so that the finished products can fulfill the company quality standard and buyer’s demand.
The objectives of this final report are to identify the process of product quality control, the aim and the benefit of product quality control, defect causing factors, and the obstacle and solution of quality control activities.
The writing method of this final report was descriptive and the methods of data collection were observation, interviews, and literature studies.
It is concluded that the aim of quality control activities is to result in good qualities product, fulfilled the company quality standard and buyer’s demand. The quality control which was done by CV Kalika Semarang is divided into 3 sections i.e., inspection of raw materials, inspection in process, and inspection of finished product. The defect causing factors i.e., raw materials, machine and equipment, and employee in production dept.
Finally, it is recommended that the company should record the defective products so that the company can measure the quality degree control which have been done. Beside that, the company should hold work evaluation in order that the production employee can work maximally, and the defective product could be decreased.
