Analisis pengendalian kualitas produk kursi indoor untuk mengurangi kecacatan produk ekspor pada CV Kedung Jati Jaya
In the global economic crisis nowadays, many companies compete to produce high quality of product for their existence. So a company must do the best to win the competition. One of the strategy’s actions is to produce the highest quality product with good quality control. CV Kedungjati Jaya Semarang also does the quality control to produce good indoor furniture and handicrafts.
This scope of the final project report is the quality control of finished product indoor chairs with teak wood as raw materials. The quality control of CV Kedungjati Jaya Semarang uses the control form. The purpose of this research are to analyse the implementation of quality control of finished product indoor chair at CV Kedungjati Jaya Semarang, standard quality of indoor chair products which are used by CV Kedungjati Jaya Semarang and the factors causing defected indoor chair product and then find out the effort for preventing and reducing the defected indoor chair products.
The methods of data collection were observation, interview and literary study. The control chart p of attribute control chart was used to analyse the data. It includes four steps; The first step was to make sure the deformity of products, the second was to ascertain the Control Limits, the third was to ascertain the Upper Control Limits and Lower Control Limits and finally to makes the chart.
Based on the result of quality control by control chart p at CV Kedungjati Jaya Semarang, it shows that the average of defective indoor chair product in 2006 was 3,10%, in 2007 was 2,82% and in 2008 was 2,18%. It shows that the quality control can reduce the defective indoor chair product and it means that the quality control has been good because the defective products were still under control.
Based on the result of research, the recommendations for CV Kedungjati Jaya Semarang are increasing the quality of products, always following the training program from PT ICP Prima and being more selective in choosing temporary employees because most of the defective products have been caused by human errors.
