Analisis pengaruh biaya promosi terhadap volume penjualan teh botol sosro pada PT Sinar Sosro KP Bawen
The success of marketing activity is supported by promotion. Variables of promotion are personal selling, publicity, advertising and sales promotion. The purpose of promotion activities is to increase the demand of the product. Advertising and sales promotion are the main promotion activities which are used by PT Sinar Sosro Sales Office Bawen to sell the product. This research aims to identify the influence of advertising and sales promotion cost to sales volume toward PT Sinar Sosro Sales Office Bawen.
The methods of collecting data in this research were interview and library study. The methods of analyzing used are linear regression, determination coefficient, t-test analysis, and f-test analysis. The analysis was processed constructively by SPSS 11.5 for windows.
The result of regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS program, indicated that Y = 5191.884 + 9.624 X1 + 7.880 X2. It means that all of variables of promotion cost had positive influence on the sales volume. The result of determination coefficient indicated R 2 = 0,476. It means that 47,6% of sales volume was influenced by promotion cost, while 52,4% was influenced by other factors which were not included in this research.
From the result of this research, it could be concluded that promotion cost influenced on the sales volume. It is recommended that PT Sinar Sosro Sales Office Bawen should increase the promotion activities, especially sales promotion to increase the demand of the product and maximize the sales volume.
