Pemeriksaan barang ekspor garment dalam rangka penerbitan "certificate of inspection" pada PT Sucofindo cabang Semarang
Recently the degree of competition in trading particularly in export is higher and higher. There might be some problems which exporter and importer have to deal with, for example in appropriateness of quality between requested and received products that need some inspection by surveyors. The result of inspection must be issued in legalized approved certificate of inspection. One of those reliable surveyors on issuing this valid report is PT SUCOFINDO, an Independent Marine Surveyor located at Jl. Pemuda No. 171 Semarang.
In this final assignment, I will discussed the surveyor’s function and roles in the supporting international trading transaction, the exported garment inspection technique, the type and methods of inspection, the related party in inspection activity, and the required garment inspection documents.
In this final assignment, the discussion was conducted using descriptive method. The data in this report were primary and secondary ones, which were collected through interviews, observation and literature studies.
The request of inspection can be via phone, facsimile, and e-mail. The types of inspection are Initial Production Check, During Production Check and Final Random Inspection. The inspection method covered Visual Inspection and Laboratory Inspection. The required documents were inspection request form, the proforma invoice, the packing list, the measurement list, the visual inspection form and the inspection report. There are three steps of garment export inspection, firstly is receiving order from customers, secondly is physical inspection, and thirdly is the final inspection
