Analisis hubungan antara lokasi, lay-out, dan display dengan keputusan pembelian pada Pasaraya Sri Ratu Pemuda Semarang
Pasaraya Sri Ratu Pemuda Semarang is one of many retailers that sells product by offering self-serviced shopping method. To keep their business run smoothly, a layout organization and placing product display properly should be a primary consideration to attract costumer’s buying desire. An effective layout and attractive display would create a comfortable atmosphere for costumers when they are trying to choose and to buy products that they want.
The purpose of this final project is to find out the correlation among location, layout and display with buying decision at Pasaraya Sri Ratu Pemuda Semarang.
The methods of collecting data are observation, interview, literature research, and questionnaire. The amount of data that were collected is 100 respondents. The analyzing method that has been used
is Chi-square and coefficient contingency. Chi-square was used to know whether there are correlations among location, layout and display with buying decision. And, coefficient contingency was used to identify the level of correlation.
The Chi—square analysis shows that the correlation of location and buying decision is 77.159, which is higher than the table (19.03). The correlation between layout and buying decision is 136.857 which is higher than the table (19.03). The correlation of display and buying decision is 108.158, which is also higher than the table (19.03).
It is concluded that there are strong correlation among location, layout and display to customer’s buying decision.
