Mekanisme penanganan barang ekspor less than container load pada PT Tristar Logistic Semarang
Nowadays, business compete tightly. Export import activities provide revenues to the economic development of the country. Practically the export transaction needs sufficient knowledge related to export import activities. In delivering the goods, company might choose Full Container Load (FCL) or Less Than Container Load (LCL). Freight forwarder is an agent that provide
transportation service for LCL service.
The aims of this final project are to identify the procedure in exporting LCL goods, to identify the other parties related and document needed, and to identify the duties expense in handling LCL export goods.
The data were taken by observation, interviews and literature studies. The method of writing the final project is descriptive.
The result shows that as consolidator the freight forwarder should have an agent in abroad to handle the goods in CFS Place Of Destination. The sharing fee is 50:50 with the agent abroad.
