Penggunaan web site sebagai upaya peningkatan volume penjualan ekspor pada CV Kalika Semarang
Free competition phenomenon in business world demands a company to do promotion activity continuously. The development of information technology and rapid communication demands a company to face it by using a kind of internet service that is website as promotion media. CV Kalika uses website to introduce their product to foreign market is an effort to increase the sales volume. To know the difference of sales volume before and after using website, the writer is interested to write a final report entitled “Using Website is an Effort to Increase export sales volume at CV Kalika Semarang.”
The aims of this report are to know the promotion activity in CV Kalika Semarang, and to analyze website of the company, the growth of sales volume, as well as the difference of sales volume, before and after using website at the company. Data were obtained from observation and interview. Paired sample test was used to analyze the data.
The finding shows that the promotion method used by the company are by joining the exhibition trade, advertising the product and using website. The display of website in the company has 5 menus i.e., home, profile, processing, project and contact. The export sales volume of the company increased about 37% but in the analysis using paired sample test it is shown that ttable is more than ttest (2,201 > 1,173) there is no significant difference between the sales volume, before and after use a website. It is recommended that the company should improve the display of website, up dating the information in website and that the company continues joining international trade fair.
