Pengendalian kualitas produk ekspor ladies blouse pada PT Sam Kyung Jaya Apparel Karang Jati Semarang
Quality of products is one of the main factors that influence the customers in deciding to buy a product. In facing competitors, the company must have appropriate strategies to attract some customers by checking the quality of finished products.
Product quality control is very important to be used by the company. PT Sam Kyung Jaya Apparel is one of exporting companies producing garment (i.e., ladies blouse) always keeps and improves the quality of their product.
The purpose of quality control is to fulfill the quality standardization demanded by the customers to keep them satisfied and placing their order. Based on the above explanation, I am inspired to write the final report entitled “The Quality Control of Export Product of Ladies Blouse at PT Sam Kyung Jaya Apparel Karangjati Semarang”.
The objectives of this final report are to explain the process of product quality control, quality standardization of export product of ladies blouse, and to analyze the defective products of ladies blouse in 2008 at PT Sam Kyung Jaya Apparel.
The writing methods of this final report were descriptive and analysis. Control chart was used to analyze the data. The methods of data collection were interview, observation, and literature study.
The quality control which is done by PT Sam Kyung Jaya Apparel is divided into three sections, i.e., quality control of raw material, quality control of producing process, and quality control of finished product. The result of the defective product analysis in 2008 shows that the defective products fluctuated out of Control Limit (CL). The value of CL is 0,007473. The top defective products of 0,023669 occurred in March 2008, caused by the processing of new style of product.
