Strategi promotional mix pada Gelael pasar swalayan Semarang
Promotion is one of marketing mix elements which is also a key factor for the success of marketing program. The purposes of promotion are informing, persuading and reminding the customers to the company’s products. Promotion activities can be implemented by doing advertising, personal selling, publication and sales promotion.
Based on the statement above, the aim of this final project writing was to learn the promotion strategy which was used by Gelael Pasar Swalayan Semarang. The data were collected by observation, library studies, and interviews with Gelael Pasar Swalayan Semarang marketing departemen and HRD department.
The method of writing this report was descriptive. The aims of the promotional activities on special event were informing, reminding and persuading the consumer to come and do shopping in the supermarket. The pull strategy was the promotional strategy used.by the company.
According to the survey at Gelael Pasar Swalayan Semarang, the result showed that the promotion activities were implement by combining the variables of advertising, sales promotion, and publicity. Media of promotion which was used by Gelael Pasar Swlayan Semarang was the media of promotion below the line.
