ANALYSIS OF INFLUENCE OF LEADERSHIP STYLE AND ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE TO WORK MOTIVATION OF EMPLOYEES AT BADAN PUSAT STATISTIK PROVINSI JAWA TENGAH
Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Jawa Tengah is the government institution that engaged in statistical data. Leader and organizational culture is very important to support the employees, especially to increase employee motivation. But, sometimes leader yet to inspire the employee motivation and organizational culture can’t affect the motivation employee when it doesn’t optimal. The purpose of this final report is to know influence of leadership style to work motivation of employees and also to know influence of organizational culture to work motivation of employees at Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Jawa Tengah.
Interviews, questionnaires, and literature study are the instruments to use to collect the data. Questionnaires are distributed to 52 employees as respondents. The analysis data use the method of multiple linear regression coefficient analysis. Regression analysis is used to determine the influence of leadership style and organizational culture to work motivation of employees. Data are processed using SPSS 17.00.
The result of this study is that the calculation of regression coefficients obtained Y = 12.540 + (-0.032X1) + 0.768X2. It means that result of regression about organizational culture gives positive influence on work motivation of employees. In the other hand, leadership style gives negative influence on work motivation of employees. The coefficient of determination is 0.402. It means that the work motivation of employees of 40.2 % is influenced by leadership style and organizational culture. While the rest of 59.8 % is influenced by other factors.
