THE INFLUENCE OF WORK ENVIRONMENT AND INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIP TO THE EMPLOYEES’ JOB SATISFACTION AT PT WIJAYA KARYA BETON TBK SALES REGION IV SEMARANG
Employees’ job satisfaction is influenced by several factors: a challenging job, award, work environment and interpersonal relationship. PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk is a company which manufactures precast concrete. Like other companies, Wika Beton also noticed its employees’ job satisfaction factor.
The purposes of this research were to describe the profiles of respondents, to analyse the influence of work environment on the employees’ job satisfaction, to analyse the influence of interpersonal relationship on the employees’ job satisfaction, to analyze the influence simultaneously of work environment and interpersonal relation to the employees’ job satisfaction.
The methods of collecting data of this research were interviews, observation, questionaires and literature study. From the analysis of linear regression in this research, it was found out that the work environment and interpersonal relationship had positive and significant influence to the employees’ job satisfaction. The most dominant variable that positively influeced the job satisfaction of employee is the job environment. The result of determination coefficient (Adjusted R) showed that 62,6% of the independent variable were work environment and interpersonal relation. It meant that 62,6% of employees’ job satisfaction was explained by them. While 37,4% was explained by other variables which were not explored in this research.
