Aktivitas pengendalian booking slot ekspor pada PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Terminal peti kemas Semarang
PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Terminal Petikemas Semarang has a variety of port services, including facilities of container stacking for shipping company. At the time of the operation stacking container service there are some problems of mismatch between the number of where container is booked (booking slots) with the number arrival of container on the container yard, so that the export slot of container yard 1 become irregular and caused the use of container yard 1 can’t be optimal.
The purposes of this final project are to know the process of allocation planning yard at container yard 1 and to find out the control activities conducted for container yard 1 can be optimal.
This final project used descriptive method. Data were collected by doing observation, interview and literature study. The data for this final project are qualitative, quantitative, primary and secondary data.
The result of the study shows that the process of making Yard Allocation, planner considering several factors, which is by size, type, and weight of containers. Control activities conducted by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Terminal Petikemas Semarang is restricting the reservation with a 10% excess of the quantities ordered, planning an open stack policy of vessel arrival (ETA) 3 days in advance and update communication booking slot reservations with shipping company every day.
