Implementasi custom clearance barang impor pada PT Arindo Jaya Mandiri Semarang
Basically, exporters and importers can solve their own customs duties. But, not of all the goods owners know the provision of customs or for any reason, unable to complete their own customs duties. However, they can ask freight forwarder to complete the customs documents. PT Arindo Jaya Mandiri Semarang is a freight forwarder company which does not only serve the delivery of goods, but also serves the custom clearance.
The purposes of this final project report are to observe custom clearance procedure, the parties involved in custom clearance procedure, the documents required in custom clearance, the costs imposed, the obstacles in the custom clearance and the solution for the obstacles. The data were collected by doing observation at PT Arindo Jaya Mandiri Semarang and interviews with the import division of the company. This final project is written in descriptive method.
The result shows that PT Arindo Jaya Mandiri Semarang is a freight forwarder company which can help importers to handle custom clearance. PT Arindo Jaya Mandiri Semarang prepares documents of Import Notification (PIB) based on importer documents (Bill of Lading, Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc) then submit the Import Notification (PIB) and the other supporting documents to Directorate General of Customs Excise Tanjung Emas Semarang by Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). In addition to Directorate General of Customs Excise, the parties involved in that activities are Foreign Exchange Bank to pay the import tax, Quarantine Centers, Sucofindo. Moreover, it also involves Pelindo and Trucking Company to expenditure goods and it needs Letter of Approval Expendture (SPPB) from Directorate General of Customs Excise.
