Athfa Mar'atuz Sapti Nurulia. "IDX High Dividend 20: Value and Volatility Analysis". Thesis of Accounting Department, Semarang State Polytechnic, under the guidance of Dina Yeni Martia, SST., M.Sc. and Muhammad Rois, S.E., M.Sc., January 2025, 67 pages.
This study examines the intrinsic value and price volatility of stocks listed in the IDX High Dividend 20 index using the Dividend Discount Model (DDM) Constant Growth method. The research aims to assess whether these stocks are undervalued, fairly valued, or overvalued by comparing intrinsic value with market price, evaluating volatility conditions, and determining investment preferences (short-term or long-term). Using historical data from 2021 to 2023, the findings indicate that stocks such as BBCA, ICBP, and INDF are consistently undervalued with low volatility, making them ideal for long-term investment. Meanwhile, ADRO, AMRT, ANTM, ASII, BBNI, BBRI, BMRI, BRPT, INKP, ITMG, KLBF, PTBA, SMGR, and TLKM exhibit high volatility, suitable for short-term strategies and undervalued. On other hand, TPIA, UNTR, and UNVR are overvalued stocks with high volatility, not ideal to own in the long term but can provide opportunities for the short term. Recommendations are provided based on valuation, market price, volatility, and investor preferences. This research is relevant for investors seeking stable returns through dividends while balancing risk in their investment strategies.
