The development of science and technology are very influential on the progress of business in government and private sector. They compete to enhance professionalism in the office, banking, industrial, manufacturing, hospitality, insurance, education, and others. To promote business support is required good management and management of information management requires a careful, precise, and fast. One of important information for companies is to record the business activity itself. The recording was found in the archive. Archive is the authentic evidence of the company’s such as in the PT PLN (Persero) Pembangkitan Lontar Semarang.
The aim of this study is to apply the letters storage with number system in Secretariat Division at PT PLN (Persero) Pembangkitan Lontar Semarang. And we have to apply the treatment, supervision, especially the removal and destruction of archival records letter at this department.
The project report is written by using descrptive method. The data are collected by using observation, interview and literature study.
The finding of the observation is the letters storage with number system has been running properly, incoming letters with the scheduled agenda sequence number. Procedure for handling letters has been running well so letters can be accepted by the concerned quickly and precisely. Supervision records are not well organized because there is no control by the staff of the Secretariat Division of the borrowed records and archives are back.
