The globalization era encourages the company to expand and develop their market. Goods and services can move freely to all regions of the world without being limited by distance and time. This movement is supported by the rapid development in information technology and telecommunications. Internet as the unlimited source of information can deliver the interactive and easy acces of information, and website is one of the facilities in internet.
This writing method in this final project is description and analysis of the system. The data collection methods used in this final project are by interview and observation. The software used in designing the website are Adobe Photoshop, PhotoImpact and CMS (Content Management System) Joomla 1.5 with programming language PHP and MySQL database.
The purposes of the final project are to redesign a web-based company profile retracting consumer interest in the PO. BLUE STAR website and make it more communicative and applicative.
It can be concluded that, the website support the publication at PO. BLUE STAR, the marketing activity can be done online. This website will facilitate the company in a two-way communication and provide the latest information related to the company so that a good interaction between businesses and consumers will be established.
