PT.Pura Barutama is a company product paper. In this occasion, the writer observes
about the paper production process. Viewed from the production process, the company must have ever done the mistake in its production process both because of the machine or the tool used in working and because the mistakes made by the employees, leading to the product damage.
The problem statement of research is the company has not fully adopted the process quality control, so companies do not yet know the exact boundaries in the process of monitoring quality control of paper product? This research aims to find out whether or not damage the paper is still under control. The methods of collecting data are interview, observation and literature study. The data source used was the direct data from PT. Pura barutama in 2008-2010, in line with the objective of research, the analysis data used was C-Chart control chart to find out the damage average, upper control limit (UCL), lower control limit (LCL) and to make the graphic describing the product damage level.
From the analysis of data using a C-Chart control charts, can be found product damage that occurred during the 2008-2010 average in the period in which product damage on average 9.75%, for the upper control limit is 17.5%, and The lower limit is 0%. In the years 2008-2010 can be seen that in 2008 most products defect highest occurred in May by 20%. C chart based on calculations with an analysis of control charts on 2008 and 2009 that the level of disability is beyond the control limits compared to the year 2010, the defect rate is exceeding the upper control limit (UCL) Thus, it is expected that the quality control of PT. Pura Barutama further enhanced, by providing special training and an increase in engine maintenance. It is intended to maintain a good quality product
